A Commitment to Excellence

Rianna Czech was born and raised in Corry PA, where she helped at her family’s dairy farm. This is how she learned the importance of agriculture. Her family also owned a local auto garage, and gained her appreciation for local businesses. Rianna went to Corry High School, it was here where she learned the difference caring teachers can make and the importance that education has on a developing society. At the age of 17, she enlisted in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. It was here that she reinforced her integrity and personal courage, but unlike most she saw how critical It was to question & not blindly follow. Through the National Guard she got her education from Edinboro University. With it she gain her appreciation for the political process and how and why laws are made, but more importantly she was shown what our political system could achieve. Throughout all of this she held different jobs to gain knowledge of different fields. From manufacturing of plastics, metal, & foam, to the restaurant industry, and finally her current field: Retail Management. Rianna learned much about each area, but the common thing she saw and still sees is the stigmas created within the work force. What was truly amazing is how the people adapted to the circumstances presented to them. Some had their “work family”, and would rally behind each other in a time of need. Some felt the pressure to excel, despite life’s attempt to keep them down. Among all of the people she met, they had one dream they shared: “to be able to make enough money to not have to worry about whether one minor inconvenience would send them into poverty, to keep their family and themselves healthy without fear of the cost, & to be able to enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer. Rianna Czech believes that these things should not be a dream to achieve, but believes they should be the bare minimum.
